With urgent votes coming up for AGOA in the House and the Senate, the entire ONE office is frantically working on faxing, emailing and hand delivering letters from ONE members to members of Congress.
Right now, we’re working on printing out and collating letters by district, so that we can walk them over to Congress tonight. Below are some shots I was able to take during the assembly of letters into packets. (Apologies for their blurry nature – we’re in a bit of a rush.)
If you haven’t already, please contact your representatives (202-224-3121) now to tell them to support AGOA!!
And – tell your family and friends, in person, by phone or email, and if you have a blog – post about this now!
We need to get the AGOA bill passed in the House and Senate before Congress’ session closes on Saturday. The House bill could be voted on as early as tonight. A Senate bill could be dropped in the hoppper soon. We’ll keep you posted.
Below the photos, find links to LA Times and Wall Street Journal editorials supporting the “third-country fabric” provision of AGOA.
