Running the Sahara ultra-marathoner Ray Zahab was interviewed on the CBC
news show “The Hour” with ONE supporter (and longtime ONE band wearer!)
George Stroumboulopoulos. You can check out the full video clip here.

Along with Charlie Engle and Kevin Lin, Ray ran over 4,000 miles
across the entire Sahara Desert to raise awareness for clean water in
Africa. Footage of the run will become a documentary called “Running the
Sahara” – to be narrated by ONE member Matt Damon.

In the interview, Ray talks about the grueling 111 days in the desert where he ran
12-15 hours a day without a single day off. That entire time he took only two showers,
and that one shower amounts to two full days of drinking water for many people in Africa.

In the clip we also learn that Ray, Charlie and Kevin ran the last 300
kilometers in just 60 hours and on only two hours of sleep.

It’s an inspiring interview about an amazing man on a one-of-a-kind expedition and definitely
worth watching!
