Thanking Senator Dodd

This morning Senator Dodd was at the Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH, making a campaign stop.

Before the event, I made sure that the senator’s campaign stop was a “ONE campaign stop.” The group of 50 was talking about ONE while waiting for the senator to arrive and at least half were wearing ONE buttons and/or bands.

When I talked to Senator Dodd, I thanked him for co-sponsoring the Global Child Survival Act (H.R. 2266) and let him know that ONE members are asking their members of Congress to co-sponsor the bill as well.

I also made sure to tell him that I would be visiting NH Senators Sununu and Gregg offices to lobby for their support. Senator Dodd was very supportive. He said that the people of this nation were ready and that perhaps our government was lagging behind the interests of the people.

When I stopped by NH Senators Sununu and Senator Gregg’s offices, both staffs were very receptive to my requests and said they’d pass my message along. Those that were not quick enough to get a ONE band before I ran out of my supply, were happy to receive a ONE button to show their support!

Go ONE,
