Timing is Everything

Talk about a San Francisco treat! Members of the ONE Campaign in San
Francisco had the distinct opportunity to meet with Dan Bernal, District
Director at Speaker Pelosi’s office. The timing could not have been
more appropriate, with the fantastic outcome of the continuing
resolution having been passed by the House of Representatives yesterday,
with the funding request for AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria surpassing
even our best expectations.

It was a friendly visit with the ONE
Campaign, specifically thanking Speaker Pelosi for her leadership in
fighting for this funding and the hard work and bipartisan cooperation
that made it possible. We look forward to continued astounding
accomplishments around poverty-focused development assistance in the
future. The pic above reflects the tone of the meeting…all smiles! A
very special thank you to District Director Dan Bernal and the staff at
Speaker Pelosi’s office for extending a warm welcome to the ONE
Campaign.
