ONE works closely with some of the top organizations providing development assistance and relief to millions of people in Africa and around the world. Together we work to raise awareness, recruit more people to the effort, and take action to end extreme global poverty and disease. Currently, ONE works in partnership with a number of organizations on specific projects or actions, relating to clean water, education, hunger, trade and preventable diseases. ONE is proud to be part of a movement that encompasses so many organizations and individuals around the world. To learn more, visit our partners page.
Since its inception, religious leaders, faith based organizations and individual believers have been part of ONE. For this movement to succeed, we need every active voice. ONE way for faith communities and individuals to get involved is by participating in ONE Sabbath, ONE Sadaqa or ONE Seva by holding worship services, small-group discussions and youth activities focused on the issues of extreme poverty and global disease.
ONE Sabbath is an effort by ONE to rally individuals and organizations of faith to address the challenges of extreme poverty and global diseases such as AIDS and malaria. Called ONE Sabbath in Christian and Jewish communities, the program is known in the Muslim Community as ONE Sadaqa, and ONE Seva in the Hindu community. ONE Sabbath is organized so each faith community can act in line with their own traditions and practices. To learn more visit www.one.org/onesabbath.
The ONE Campus Challenge (OCC) is an annual nationwide competition among colleges and universities where students earn points by engaging in social activism. The second annual ONE Campus Challenge launched in September 2008, with the help of ONE supporter and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots. Through OCC, students have lobbied on Capitol Hill, established ONE Chapters on their campuses, held World AIDS Day events, and partnered with other nonprofits and charities to raise campus awareness about global poverty. The website www.ONE.org/campus acts as OCC "headquarters" where students record their activities, learn about new challenges, check their scores, post pictures, and communicate with other schools via the OCC blog. The ONE Campus Challenge has reached 2,400 schools with more than 27,000 student participants.
The ONE Blog is a daily log of the anti-poverty movement. The site is operated by ONE staff, with frequent contributions from volunteers, members and partner organizations.
The ONE Blog updates readers daily with the latest in global development news and analysis and what ONE members and our partners are doing around the world to influence world leaders in the fight against global poverty.

No. ONE does not provide aid directly to individuals, governments or organizations in Africa. As an advocacy and campaigning organization, we raise awareness about the importance of fighting poverty and press governments from the developed world to honor their commitments to invest in effective aid and trade reform. At ONE, we aren't asking for your money, we're asking for your voice. If you want to make a financial contribution to help fight extreme poverty and preventable disease, we encourage you to consider one of our partner organizations, the vast majority of which are providing direct services on the ground in Africa and around the world.
No. ONE is a grassroots campaign of more than two million people from around the world, but we are very fortunate to have the support of a number of leading artists and athletes who have the capacity to mobilize activists and bring attention to the issue of global poverty in an unprecedented manner. Cofounded by Bono, ONE also works very closely with Bob Geldof, and we have hosted a number of low-profile listening and learning trips to Africa with Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt and Tom Brady. We've worked with these individuals and many others, including George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Angelique Kidjo, Chris Daughtry, Penelope Cruz and Julia Roberts, on creative campaigns.
ONE and (RED) are close allies in the fight against AIDS in Africa, and both organizations were cofounded by ONE board members Bono and Bobby Shriver. While ONE is an advocacy organization dedicated to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, (RED) is a business model created to raise awareness and money specifically for the fight against AIDS in Africa. (RED) works by teaming up with the world's most iconic brands, including Apple, Gap and Starbucks, to produce (PRODUCT) RED-branded products. Up to 50% of the profits from (PRODUCT) RED products goes directly to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa, with a focus on women and children. As of March, 2009 (RED) had generated more than $125 million for the Global Fund, making it the largest private sector donor to the Fund. To learn more about (RED) please go to www.joinred.com.
