Roscoe Mapps

Roscoe is the Regional Field Director for ONE's Western Region. In this role, he works closely with ONE staff, members and community leaders in several states to raise the awareness of extreme poverty in the world.

Prior to joining ONE, Roscoe worked on a presidential campaign during the 2008 primaries and spent several years working in the private sector as a corporate recruiter. Roscoe received his Bachelors degree in Political Science at Texas A&M University in College Station. Like many on ONE's staff, Roscoe has a long history of volunteer service for a number of non-profit causes most of his life, bringing valuable experience to our organization. Roscoe often says how blessed he feels to have the opportunity to work closely with such diverse and passionate talent at ONE, both members and staff.

Matt Higginson

Mountain Region

Matt is the Regional Field Director for the Mountain Region. He joined ONE in March 2007 as the State Director for the ONE Vote '08 project in Nevada. Matt graduated from Brigham Young University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in International Relations with an emphasis in Middle Eastern and Chinese studies, including Arabic and Mandarin language studies. He joined the staff of Senator Harry Reid in 2005 where he worked in the U.S. Senate prior to moving back to his home town of Las Vegas. Prior to joining ONE, Matt worked on a variety of state, local, federal races in Nevada.

Libby Crimmings

Libby is the Regional Field Director for the Midwest based in Des Moines, Iowa where she grew up. She spent many years there campaigning and being an active participant in Iowa politics. Libby is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Fine Art and Design with an emphasis in Advertising. She volunteered in the First Lady's office and taught private art classes to children through college. She spent time after college working for family in New Mexico, then moved to Minnesota to continue school and work as a designer. Libby moved back to Iowa in 2007 and started her work with ONE as the State Director of Iowa for the ONE Vote 08 presidential campaign.

Maura Daley

Great Lakes Region

Maura Daley is the Regional Field Director for the Great Lakes region, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Maura joined ONE as the Events and Trips Coordinator. Prior to joining ONE, Maura was the Director of Public Relations at Rockit Ranch Productions, an Entertainment Development Company in Chicago, IL. As Director, Maura oversaw all Public Relations, Marketing, and Special Events Departments for Rockit Ranch Productions. Maura also acted as personal publicist to the owner and President of the company.

Brian Sweeney

Mid-Atlantic Region

Brian began volunteering for ONE in the fall of 2006 and joined ONE Vote '08 in July 2008 as a Field Organizer based in Pennsylvania. He is now the Regional Field Director for the Mid-Atlantic States. Brian has enjoyed all of ONE's grassroots efforts to combat global poverty and disease. In Pennsylvania, many goals were reached including PA becoming a "ONE State", Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia "ONE Cities", and the Pennsylvania General Assembly passing two resolutions declaring October 16th as "ONE Day" in Pennsylvania. Brian is looking forward to carrying the momentum created by PA ONE Members to the rest of the Mid-Atlantic Region!

Chris Geer

Northeastern Region

Chris came on board with ONE Vote '08 in April 2008 serving Western Pennsylvania. In 2009, he relocated and became the Field Organizer in New York. Currently, Chris is working to build volunteer efforts and awareness activity throughout the Northeast.

Sara Paterni

South Central Region

As the Regional Field Director for the South Central Region, Sara is located in Florida. In this role, Sara makes calls to elected officials, attends town halls, promotes ONE's events, and places letters to editors.

Before joining ONE, Sara worked for U.S. Representative C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger and most recently worked as a Research Associate for the Council of State Governments Justice Center based out of Bethesda, Maryland. Sara moved to Florida in the spring of 2008 and began her work with ONE during the ONE Vote '08 campaign.

Sara graduated from Salisbury University and completed her Masters Degree in Legislative Politics at George Washington University.

Lauren Conn

Southern Atlantic Region

Lauren is ONE's Regional Field Director for the Southern Atlantic Region based in Washington, DC. She spends time coordinating and empowering volunteers, and creates awareness-raising and membership building events.

She graduated from the College of William & Mary (twice); B.A. 2005, M.A.Ed. 2006. During her time in college, she studied and volunteered abroad in Central and South America and North Africa. In a previous life, Lauren taught High School Spanish in Williamsburg, VA, until she was hired by Hillary Clinton for President as Field Organizer during the 2008 primaries. She traveled to South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Oregon and Puerto Rico with the campaign, coordinating volunteers and doing Latino outreach.

Kim Smith

Kim is ONE's Deputy Director of Field. She joined ONE in January 2005, and is based in our DC office. Before joining ONE, Kim managed a housing program for homeless people living with HIV/AIDS as well as an HIV testing organization. Kim volunteered for DATA's 2002 Heart of America tour stop in Louisville and helped with the Kentucky ONE Launch in May 2004.

Matt Bartlett

New Hampshire

Matthew is ONE's Senior Manager for Field Training and Development. He joined ONE as a Regional Field Organizer for New England in August of 2006 and is now working out of the DC office. A New Hampshire native, he helped to spearhead and support the ONE Vote '08 initiative in the "First in the Nation" Primary State. Matthew graduated from Fairfield University, in Connecticut, where he studied Politics and English. He has spent time in London and briefly worked in the House of Commons in the UK. Before joining ONE, he worked in the construction industry in Massachusetts and volunteered for a non-profit that operated in African Refugee camps.
